Havelock North is home to a wide-ranging and colourful community of thinkers, artists, and writers. The village has become a daily destination for discerning food lovers. Bolderson's Deli is one of the finest delicatessens in New Zealand. Ex chef Vicki Bolderson offers customers the opportunity to purchase from a unique collection of New Zealand's finest foods and an excellent selection of imported products. Designer breads are baked daily by Vicki's husband, and scrumptious light snacks are available throughout the day.
Havelock Village offers a wide choice of eateries from casual dining to stylish restaurants. Diva, a popular restaurant and bar, is located in the heart of the village. Diva's chef, Michael, is an unashamed promoter of Hawke's Bay produce and he and his team cook food with style and panache. Delicious desserts, a fine wine list, and friendly service promise customers an enjoyable evening.

Unique designs can be found in the heart of the city and surrounding Marewa. Visitors can choose from guided walks, self drive tours, or vintage deco car tours. Napier city is one of the greatest Art Deco cities in the world. One of the highlights of the Hawke's Bay Wine Country events calendar is the Art Deco Weekend.
